The construction and operation of the repowering project of WPO Windpark Oldenbroker Feld GmbH & Co. KG is being financed by Commerzbank AG[1] via its “Centre of Competence Energy[HCvS1] ”.
As the sole project financier, Commerzbank provides the debt capital, including all guarantees and collateral required by the approval authorities, owners and manufacturers.
The complete project package submitted by Projekt Ökovest GmbH enabled the approval of the loans required for the implementation and delivery of the wind turbines in line with the schedule following a comprehensive due diligence review.
On the basis of the contract awarded by the Federal Network Agency on August 1, 2023[2], the general contractor Projekt GmbH has been asked to dismantle the four Vestas V66/1650 and four Vestas V80/2000 and install the three EnVentus™ V150-5.6 MW turbines. Commissioning is scheduled for mid-2025.
"We are very pleased that the municipality of Ovelgönne can plan and implement the necessary investments in the long term, also with the support of business tax revenues from the renewable energy projects in the municipality. The Wesermarsch Community Foundation, whose motto "Together for the common good” has nothing to add, has also been able to initiate and support many projects”, said Heike Kröger and Ubbo de Witt, managing partners of Projekt Ökovest GmbH and WPO Windpark Oldenbroker Feld GmbH & Co. KG.
