With the permit in accordance with the German emission control act (BImSchG) granted by the Wesermarsch district at the beginning of May, Oldenburg-based Projekt Ökovest GmbH can now start the repowering activities.
While the height limit was previously 100 m total height and 14.6 MW installed capacity, the repowering will now increase the total height to 202.0 mhGes, doubling the expected yield with the 3 Vestas EnVentus V 150 5.6 MW to approximately 51,000 MWh. With this project, the company is again proving that it is a reliable partner to the landowners and the municipality of Ovelgönne. True to the company motto “Creating value with wind power."
"This is already our second approved repowering project in the Wesermarsch district. The Isens wind farm with its six V44/600 kW, which has been in operation since 1997, was dismantled last year and replaced by a 4.8 MW NORDEX N133, and we are very pleased that our projects could be implemented so seamlessly," said Heike Kröger and Ubbo de Witt, managing partners of Projekt Ökovest GmbH.
Just in time for the start of the cycling season, information boards with QR codes and displays on current performance, annual energy production and savings in tons of greenhouse gases for these energy transition projects were erected along the cycling paths in both Isens and Ovelgönne.
