In Karsy, Poland, the first ground-mounted megawatt PV system is currently being built for the company’s own portfolio, and the battery storage systems and PV components for a "megawatt hotel project" on the Cape Verde islands have been shipped. Construction is expected to start in August of this year.
In Morocco, Projekt Ekovest Maroc was founded and we concluded a cooperation agreement with Solam Le Solaire du Maroc from Casablanca to help us implement our projects with their local expertise.
In Germany, we are preparing to repower two high-wind locations in Lower Saxony with over 44 MW, and to support further projects, we also commissioned our first substation (80/100 MVA, 110/33 kV) at Oldenbroker Feld, which will be completed at the beginning of 2026. The general contractor, Projekt GmbH, expects to receive approvals for more than 100 MW by then.
We are preparing to repower the Neuenkirchen wind farm with a first NORDEX N133 (4.8 MW) in the district of Cuxhaven for NeuenkirchenWind. The in-situ concrete full displacement bored piles were manufactured by König of Stade, and Tensar supplied the geogrids for the site road and crane parking area.
To keep up with all of these exciting developments, we started training new employees from Germany, Spain and Poland early on at the company headquarters in Oldenburg, and a canoe trip on the River Hunte provided an opportunity to demonstrate our team spirit.
