Now, after the completion of extensive negotiations between the rural district of Wesermarsch and the local district, there is a joint objective for further tapping into the wind potential of Ovelgönne. The permit authority and the local district have always agreed on the option of expanding Oldenbroker Feld in order to minimise the potential interference of new wind turbines with the existing plants. "The new land development plan for wind energy will probably be completed by the end of the year if all goes well" said Holger Meyer, Director of the building authority, in an interview with the newspaper Nordwest Zeitung.
The Projekt group has proved to be a reliable partner of property owners and local authorities, which is why they trust the group in matters concerning the additional land required for the project. Managing Director Ubbo de Witt said: "Joint planning with all stakeholders ensures acceptance and a good basis for later repowering. We will implement the expansion of Oldenbroker Feld as part of our WindWerte portfolio and as a sound investment project, starting in 2014."
